California born and raised, it took a cruise out of Galveston, billboards screaming low priced homes, and a passion for adventure to move me from the fast paced life to the low key, football frenzied Katy, Texas. I didn't know what to expect, and I knew the adjusting would be a challenge. But soon did I realize that Katy represented everything that I stand for; family, education and genuine kindness.
